Coconut Carbon Filters
What is coconut carbon?
Coconut carbon is derived from coconut shells and has the ability to capture particles passing through it.
Coconut shells are covered in micropores, which happen to be the same size as many of the particles we don't want in our indoor air, like smoke and odors. This small micropore size makes it ideal for absorbing and capturing these tiny particles.
Is it eco-friendly?
Coconuts are a renewable source of carbon, unlike alternatives like bamboo, willow peat or coal. Coconuts are grown year-round on tress that can be preserved for many years. Harvesting coconuts has little effect on the environment.
How does LivePure use it?
LivePure uses coconut carbon in air purifier replacement pre-filters. Or CocoCarbon, as we like to call it. Coconut carbon pre-filters reduce household odors from cooking, cleaning, smoking and pets. This extra layer also extends the life of the True HEPA filter by capturing larger particles before reaching the True HEPA filter.
